We four Hunt brothers started out early in the food business. Each of us started washing dishes in the family restaurant, Austin's Drive Inn of Evansville, Indiana, while in grade school. We then graduated to fountain boy, waiter and on into management.
When our father died at the young age of 46, we took over the management to support our family. The oldest of us was 21. We worked seven-day weeks and long hours. We made mistakes, but we learned the value of hard work and the principles of how to build a successful business. Since 1962, we have been in the retail and wholesale pizza business. Together we have over 140 years of food business experience.
Hunt Brothers® Pizza was developed in 1990. Our purpose was and still is to offer a complete pizza concept for the neighborhood convenience store. This is a fresh dough pizza that is topped with the finest ingredients available, and sold at a fair price. To be a real blessing to the customers, we offer All Toppings No Extra Charge®. Convenience Store Owners and Managers all agree that Hunt Brothers® Pizza is one of the most profitable items in their store. Owners have found that our pizza gets their employees excited! It is not long before they become known as the best pizza maker in the area. The pride of Hunt Brothers® Pizza builds morale and has helped to reduce employee turnover.
Hunt Brothers® Pizza will continue to improve and grow. We place God first in our business decisions and then turn outward to see how we can be a blessing to our customers. We are not always right.
